Who Is the LitVM Team? Founders, Backers, and Governance
LitVM is developed by ZK Innovations Inc. and co-founded by two Lunar Digital Assets executives, with backing from Lite Strategy and ties to the Litecoin Foundation.
Updated
LitVM is developed by ZK Innovations Inc., a British Virgin Islands company, and co-founded by Aztec Amaya and Roc Zacharias of Lunar Digital Assets. The network is Litecoin's first EVM rollup, officially endorsed by the Litecoin Foundation. It operates as a hybrid rollup—using Arbitrum Nitro for optimistic execution and Succinct SP1 zkVM for validity proofs—and is currently operating on its LiteForge testnet while mainnet development and security audits continue.
Because $LITVM does not exist as a tradeable asset yet, knowing the verified team members and official accounts helps users avoid scams and fraudulent token offerings. Official announcements come exclusively from @LitecoinVM on X.
Core Team and Leadership
The LitVM project brings together contributors from incubation firm Lunar Digital Assets, bridge infrastructure provider BitcoinOS, and the Litecoin Foundation.

Lunar Digital Assets
Lunar Digital Assets (LDA) is a full-service blockchain incubation and marketing firm. Three of its executives hold LitVM roles: Aztec Amaya and Roc Zacharias as co-founders, and Shane Latham, who leads LitVM's marketing.
Litecoin Foundation and BitcoinOS Relationships
LitVM has direct institutional ties to key ecosystem entities:
- Litecoin Foundation: The Litecoin Foundation officially endorses LitVM. David Schwartz, the Foundation's Director of Partnerships, serves on the LitVM Treasury Board.
- BitcoinOS: Edan Yago, CEO and co-founder of BitcoinOS, was named among LitVM's leadership in an 18 June 2026 press release. BitcoinOS built the Grail bridge, which enables trustless, 1-of-n verification for bridging LTC into zkLTC on LitVM.
Corporate Backing and Strategic Investment
On 18 June 2026, ZK Innovations Inc. announced a $1.0 million strategic investment led by Lite Strategy (Nasdaq: LITS). Under the terms of the investment:
- Lite Strategy received governance participation rights.
- Lite Strategy secured an option on a portion of future network tokens.
Lite Strategy's leadership includes Jay File as CEO and CFO. Charlie Lee, the creator of Litecoin, sits on Lite Strategy's board of directors. Lite Strategy holds roughly 850,000 LTC on its balance sheet. The investment was made in the developer company. It is not a token sale open to the public, and any token circulating today under the $LITVM name is fraudulent.
Governance and the Treasury Board
Governance over LitVM network parameters, upgrades, and grants is managed through the Litecoin DAO and a dedicated Treasury Board. The Treasury Board oversees the 51% community allocation of the future fixed-supply $LITVM token, which is reserved for community incentives, grants, staking rewards, and Ordinals or Runes initiatives.
The Treasury Board consists of five seats:
- Aztec Amaya (Co-founder / Lunar Digital Assets)
- Roc Zacharias (Co-founder / Lunar Digital Assets)
- David Schwartz (Litecoin Foundation)
- Community Majority Opinion Seat
- Fifth Seat (To be announced)
Proposal Lifecycle
All formal governance proposals submit to a four-stage process before execution:
- Initial Submission: A proposal is posted for open review by the community.
- Temperature Check: Informal community polling to gauge sentiment and feasibility.
- Detailed Proposal: A finalized proposal outlining technical specifications, resource requirements, or parameter changes.
- Treasury Board Vote: Formal vote by the Treasury Board members to allocate resources or approve deployment.
Technology and Security Partners
LitVM integrates multiple modular infrastructure providers rather than building all layers in-house. A complete breakdown of how these components function together can be found in the guide to LitVM architecture.
