LiteForge Hits 13M Wallets as New Testnet DApps Launch
LitVM reported 13 million testnet addresses on LiteForge as developers tested applications and treasury backers reiterated their thesis.
Week of Built from 11 filings
LitVM reported crossing 13 million unique wallet addresses on its LiteForge testnet this week. Alongside the network milestone, dozens of new applications and developer tools were added to the ecosystem directory as testing continued ahead of mainnet. Backers and community commentators also outlined arguments for Litecoin's EVM rollup as a self-custodial alternative to centralized financial infrastructure.
Testnet Metrics and Developer Activity
LitecoinVM announced on Monday that the LiteForge testnet reached 13 million unique wallet addresses. The team later noted that builders and cypherpunks are continuing to arrive on LiteForge during the network's rollout.
Community members and builders shared progress on testing smart contracts on the network. Community commentator @circle_crypto stated they have been testing dApps on LiteForge, arguing that existing deployments are close to broader adoption and expressing intent to incubate applications and form partnerships on LitVM before mainnet launches. At the same time, prediction platform developer MidasHand reaffirmed their commitment to the chain, stating via the Litecoin Foundation that their choice to build on LitVM reflects a direct decision to build on Litecoin.
Treasury Backing and the Monetary Narrative
Network supporters also focused on institutional backing and monetary alignment this week. LitVM highlighted support from Jay Lits, CEO of Litecoin treasury firm LiteStrategy, pointing to the company's backing of the rollup. LiteStrategy separately posted that unlike traditional systems that alter policy or freeze accounts, Litecoin maintains fixed rules.
Broader commentary centered on self-custodial finance. @circle_crypto argued that traditional banks are deplatforming users and freezing payments, presenting Litecoin and LitVM as permissionless tools for self-custody. In another post, @circle_crypto argued against relying solely on stablecoins, describing fiat-backed tokens as temporary bridges to legacy finance and predicting that hard money assets like Litecoin will increasingly drive onchain payments and DeFi.
Ecosystem Directory Additions
The LitVM ecosystem directory expanded significantly this week with additions across several sectors on LiteForge.
New listings include decentralized exchanges and DeFi protocols such as Addax, Athes, Drunken Cats, LiteSwap, LitiumDEX, and WheelX, alongside perpetual trading interface TachyonFi. Prediction markets added to the index include MidasPredict, Novyn, Olympus, and Penny4Thots, while fundraising and token launch platforms including Aura, Forge Anvil, and LitPump were also listed. Gaming projects including Falken and Last Hero, as well as tooling and infrastructure services like Lit Clinic, RPC LitVM, and analytics platform Vein, rounded out the week's directory updates.
